The Beginning

After twelve months of zoning changes, Ross and I finally are in possession of our century schoolhouse. Drawings for the addition and renovations of the existing building are now finalized and we are preparing the paperwork for our permits. We hope there aren't any complications but the NVCA (Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority) could be a financial issue. We have dismantled the suspended ceiling ...those who are ecologically minded will be glad to hear the majority of the ceiling will not be heading to the landfill but has been reused in our basement workshop and a friend's basement room. We hope to reuse and preserve as much of the removed material as possible.

Chris and Ross enjoying the first "beer break" after a gruelling hour of work. Actually, it was a dirty job with countless dead flies, a dried up bat stuck to the top of a ceiling tile and some other wee beastie I did not want to
get close enough to identify.

This is Diana. She has joy in her heart....or ....maybe she's just having a seizure.
